Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Nantycaws

Cresselly Arms

Pont-ar-gothi, Nantgaredig, Carmarthen SA32 7NG, UK – 01267 290482

Stopped for a late lunch on Friday afternoon. Ordered cheesy chips with bacon, tuna sandwich, hunters chicken and Cresselly burger. All were very good and tasty. Arrived in good time from pleasant staff. We sat on the balcony outside as we had our dog with us,who was welcomed. Great location, excellent, decent priced food and a warm welcome. 5 stars!

The pub had a lovely view from the windows of a river. This might have just been a fluke from when I visited but they didn't have very much in. Of all the draft beers they had on tap only one was working. Also when we ordered they didn't have a lot of the elements for the meals. However once the food arrived it was very nice. The pub also had what appeared to be a games area, with a pool table and some other things. I went in the late afternoon so not many people were there so I can't really comment on atmosphere. However overall it was a very nice pub.

The Halfway Inn

Nantgaredig, Carmarthen SA32 7NL, UK – 01558 668337

Called in after a river expedition on the towy. Staff were great and welcoming. Some nice surreal touches add good character to a spotlessly clean place. This place is a quality food restaurant. We were spoilt for choice on the menu. My mate and I ordered pork steak rarebit. It was superb. Well prepared and balanced and very well presented and a sizeable portion. We are definitely returning soon and this time will have a 3 course dinner. I highly recommend it.

Food superb. Staff were really attentive . Clean toilets and special disabled area.

The Plough Inn

B4310, Nantgaredig, Carmarthen SA32 7PR, UK – 01267 290019

Wanted to try somewhere that we hadn't been to before. Read a couple of reviews, and can honestly say that the food, service and hospitality are first class. Will be returning.

Even though the restaurant was fully booked we ate in the bar and the food was great and the staff were really friendly,
